Shimmi

Shimmi Visualizer

Turn your track into a beat-synced dance visual.

No video for your new single yet? Upload the song, choose a length, and Shimmi generates an abstract dance visualization that moves on your beat — made from motion, not footage. It is built for up-and-coming artists and musicians who want something striking to post the day a track drops.

How it works

  1. Upload a track you own

MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC or OGG, up to 10 minutes. You confirm you own or control the music — Shimmi exists to serve artists' own work. We analyse the track once: tempo, beat grid, downbeats and the most energetic place to start.

  2. Pick 10, 30 or 60 seconds

A dance routine has to land on whole bars, so we show you the exact length you will get before anything renders. At 128 BPM, 30 seconds is 16 bars; at 152 BPM it is 20 bars and 31.6 seconds.

  3. Get a video cut to your beat

A choreography engine assembles a routine from a motion library, retimes each move to your tempo and places it on your bar lines, then draws it as an abstract light visual. It takes about a minute.

Generated from motion, not footage

Most AI video tools repaint pixels, which is where the smeared hands and doubled faces come from. Shimmi never touches source pixels. It works from a library of tracked dance movement: each move is cut at a downbeat, retimed by resampling the dancer's joints to match your tempo, and placed on your bar lines, so sync is exact by construction. The visualiser then draws that motion as light, reacting to the energy of your track.

Every creation stores a provenance record — which motion clips were used, where each one started, how much it was retimed — so “this video is a unique assembly” is something we can show, not just claim.

Made for artists sharing their own music

  • See your track's detected tempo and the exact delivered length before you render.
  • Square 1080 × 1080 video that reads well in a feed, a story or a post.
  • A public page for every creation, with your artist name and track title, ready to link and share.
  • A rights confirmation at upload, stored with the track, because your music should only be used by you.

Questions

Is there any real footage in the video?
No. The engine works with joint positions — the motion of a dancer, not the pixels of a recording. The output is drawn from scratch, so there is no blur, no ghosting, no duplicated figures and no watermark bleed-through from a source clip.
Will my video look like everyone else's?
Every creation is a fresh assembly of motion clips, and each clip use is recorded in a ledger so the engine prefers moves that have not been used before. Shorter videos draw fewer clips, so they stay unique for longer; at 60 seconds a routine uses around 17 segments.
What tempo works best?
Tracks between 110 and 160 BPM give the richest results, because that is where the motion library is deepest. We show the detected BPM at upload and warn you if a track sits outside that band.
Can I download and post it?
Yes. Downloads and shares carry a small Shimmi watermark burned into the video itself, and every creation gets its own public page you can link from X, Facebook or anywhere else.
